We have decided to pursue the active treatment for Ashley. She will be admitted today to Northwestern Memorial Hospital next to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). The course of treatment will be 14 days. After the treatment it is our hope she will be able to return to RIC and continue therapy.
Please pray that this course of treatment will aid Ashley in her recovery. Thank you for all your loving support of Ashley and our family.

Big steps! I just told Ma what's going on, and she's boosting her prayers as well. What a big decision, we're keeping you in our thoughts at all times. I'm going to call God up on the phone here in a minute and tell Him what needs to be going down these next couple of weeks. He'd better be getting on that.
Next week is Thanksgiving, but I've already started my "thankful" prayers, and you're at the top of the list.

I heard from your Aunt Lynn that you are starting a new treatment. I immediately had a good feeling about it.
I want you to know that I just prayed the rosary for you. I hope you feel surrounded by God's love and peace.
Even though I've never met you Ashley, you are in my prayers often. May you always feel patience, strength and hope whenever you need it.
