Ashley has had a busy December. We hope to publish the highlights and post some pictures over the weekend. That said Ashley didn't want the New Year to begin without her wishing all of you a Blessed and Prosperous New Year. Each one of you, through prayers and other support have been important part of you on going recovery.

Happy New Year!! I got an iPod Nano for Christmas! Unfortunatly it, uh, broke. OOPS! Not my fault. :) So what did you get? Are you having a good 2010? Did you stay up late? I talked to my dad on the 31st and you know what I said? "Bye, dad, talk to you next year!" ;) Give my love to Miles, okay? Love you, Ash, and your mom & dad.

Hey Ashley!
Well I officially survived my first 2 weeks of student teaching! 28 second graders can be a handful! haha! I was so blessed to be paired with an amazing teacher and mentor. I am already teaching her class all by myself! I am also currently sampling all of the various illnesses my 28 second graders bring to class! ewww! I think I am working on a pretty bad cold at the moment! I swear antibacteial handsoap does not work! Highlights from last week included one little girl asking if I'd be her mom (soo cute) and another child totally spelling something wrong on her letter and it turned out to be not a very nice word! haha! I was like umm we may need to respell this word! bless her heart she was clueless!Lauren came home this weekend and she has been driving me nuts about going to see the movie 9! So I think I may be packing a tissue box and heading to the movies! haha! I hope you are starting out your new year with a bang! Let this be the year for happiness and even more progress! Hey Ashley!
I hope you had a good week! On to week 3 of student teaching which was interesting! Monday...no school...MLK day. Tuesday...taught all day...good times. Wednesday...was sick. Thursday...dragged in my sick self and taught all day. Friday...no school. God was merciful. haha I did my first mean thing last week. I kept a child in from music. The particular student totally deserved it, and I felt bad for maybe five minutes. I was surprised how quickly I got over it. haha! My cooperating teacher was proud of me for actually putting my mean pants on! haha! I should start writing a book. I have sooo many stories to share! Anyways, in five more weeks I will start my special ed placement. Wow is time sure flying. I felt like I just started at this school! I hope you are avoiding everyone who is coughing and sneezing this time of year! How is therapy going this week? I bet you are impressing more people with your standing abilities! Love you to the moon and all the way back again!
