Ashley is transferring back to RIC today.
She has recovered quite well from the bout this past weekend. A new milestone for Ashley that occurred this week was moving from a continuous feed to what is referred to as bolus feedings. Although it is still liquid nourishment she is getting it more like a meal verses constantly.
It is difficult to say whether or not the plasmapheresis treatments helped Ashley. Again the combination of a sever infection (which she has successfully fought off) and the seizures could be masking some progress. Hopefully with a return to RIC and a resumption of her therapy there we will see that it is aiding her.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers while Ashley was at Northwestern Memorial. Just as the “12th man” advantage a football team has playing at home, you have been that 12th man helping Ashley (and us) with your prayers.

Hi Ashley,
So happy to hear you are back at RIC, however, your dad didn't mention the view from the room. What does that mean? Don't worry if you can't see the Christmas lights, we're bringing them to you tomorrow. Angela picked out something special that you can hold and make noise with. I hope you're having a fun sleepover with Aunt Beth. We'll see you in the morning. Love, Aunt Lynn
Ashley-
Hey, sweetheart. Just a little note this time. I wanted to tell you I'm happy you're going back to RIC, safe and sound. Please continue to feel better... no backtracking! I'm excited to hear what the "plasma-thing" (I stutter and stumble over the actual word every time I read your updates to my mom, so I shortened it to that!) has done for you.
My fingers and toes are crossed, and my prayers are constant.
I love you, Ashley Marie!

I am so happy that you are back at RIC again! I have thought of you constantly and I even dreamt about us! we were shopping...something we are so good at! Everytime I read your dad's bogs, I am so proud of you and all of your strength. Keep fighting Ash, and know that you are never alone. There are so many people you don't even know you are thinking about you and praying for you! I love you so much Ash!
